From 2015–2022 I was not only Clinique’s digital creative department head, but also the only Product Designer. During this time I elevated and modernized Clinique’s online brand presence, redesigned the $2.6B E-Commerce flagship store, and personally created a Figma Design System to streamline creative workflow.
2020–2023
A first look at Clinique's new graphic style, a transformation that gives visual credibility to it's claims of scientific efficacy. The addition of grid lines to the iconic white space, new typography, pops of a brighter, ownable Clinique green. These early WIP site designs explore the new brand codes and a lab-like environment.

A new style guide for promotional photography was designed to reject the machine-made sterility of traditional beauty labs. Embracing imperfection, showing evidence of our craft, and experience. Strategy created in partnership with Trptk.

In addition to refreshing the site design to better communicate scientific efficacy, we also created entirely new modules to better support products with multiple claims or tell more complex stories. The module below is one that I designed to optimize creative workflow and reduce time to launch—by using only 4:5 cards, we're able to quickly assemble new stories from pre-existing social assets.

With baked-in opportunities to use editorial content, we dramatically raised our SEO value an invited customer engagment. Links placed within category and product detail pages exposed a hidden drawer, catching users at key touchpoints in the purchase funnel. A standalone education destination was also created to support regularly updated longform content. Created in partnership with Area17.

This Figma-based Design System was a first for Clinique. With a user-friendly interface and comprehensive components library, Clinique Surge ushered in a new era of streamlined collaboration between designers and developers. The system also empowered internal design teams around the world to efficiently create high-quality, consistent digital experiences across the Clinique ecosystem. Created by me, then handed off to my Product Design team to make edits.
